What's your New Year's Resolution … and your car's?

January 3, 2011

Toast to the new year!

The ultimate question : What is your New Year’s Resolution? It’s the beginning of a new year, a fresh start. Now is the time to pick up that extra spin class or put that money aside for the future. For those of you who believe in starting over for the new year, tell me this: What is your resolution this year? I’ll start off by saying mine … LEARN TO COOK! (I mean, I do love to eat so it only makes sense…) Now, let’s put this into “car perspective” and talk about your vehicle’s New Year’s resolution. 1. Get in shape!  In “car talk” means –  routine maintenance 2. Save money!  In “car talk” means – invest in warranties & coverage (saving in the long run) 3. Keep tidy!  In “car talk” means – clean out car once a week (take the proper care) 4. Learn something new! In “car talk” means – educate yourself on your vehicle. Just some New Year’s tips from your friend! Happy New Year!

More fun car blogs for women!

July 2, 2010
With the overwhelming abundance of information on the web, it is important to be aware of what you’re reading. Now, I’m not here to tell you what to believe or not to believe, I’m just here to share my thoughts. And, more importantly, hear yours. After cruising the web, I’ve come across several other websites that may appeal to your liking. AskPatty.com is one of the first sites I became familiar with. To sum up AskPatty, it is a consumer-friendly, information seeking spot for people like you and me to obtain automobile information and expertise. Although this website may not sole be directed toward women, it is one of the most informative and reliable “car blogs” today. EdmundsDaily is just another place to gather news and advice for car shoppers and owners. Ya’ll may be more familiar with Edmunds.com when looking up trade-in values, searching for your vehicle, and checking out current car reviews and EdmundsDaily is a fun read as well. Here’s a clever one … Motherproof! Motherproof.com is dedicated to providing women in general and mothers in particular with useful and entertaining new-car reviews. I just love that name! It’s perfect. And, we all know that women, especially mommy’s represent the fastest growing market of automotive consumers. So, if you get a chance, check these sites out and tell me some of your favorites.
