Who doesn’t love a birthday party, with birthday cake and birthday CARS? Starting today through Saturday, we are throwing a big birthday bash to celebrate Chevrolet’s centennial! Say that fast three times in a row!

Beginning today, at McCarthy Chevrolet, you can register to win kick-booty birthday presents, including restaurant certificates and tickets to sporting events. But even better, we’re giving away a brand new 2012 Camaro convertible. What? Did I hear that correctly? Yessir!

Tying into our “Rebuild Reading” Kansas project, we will be including 10 tickets for selected winners to enter and win that red-hot sports car. And on Saturday, I will be drawing a name every 30 minutes from 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. So, get in here and sign up to win!

Ever wonder how cars are built and manufactured? If you’re one of those curious types who like to know the “how” behind every creation, pay attention!

I followed my dad to the Fairfax Plant last week, and I experienced first-hand the building process for the Chevy Malibu. Super cool!

A little history for you: The General Motors Fairfax Assembly Plant is just down the street at Fairfax Trafficway, Kansas City, Kansas. This specific plant has been open since 1987 and currently produces two vehicles: the Chevrolet Malibu and the Buick LaCrosse. The operation runs 24 hours a day for 5 days straight and produces 1,300 cars a day! 1,300 cars day! Did you catch that?

Chevrolet and the Kansas City Royals have developed this awesome opportunity for local kids to be featured before every Sunday home game. This past weekend, the McCarthy Chevrolet and McCarthy-Morse Chevrolet chose two lucky boys to show off their stuff on the field!

Nathan Tai is seven years old and a big fan of baseball! He was paired up with 2nd baseman #13 Mike Aviles.

Along with Nathan, was Jack Stout. Jack not only showed off his smile on the Jumbo Tron, but met Slugger!
