The Festival on the Trails is a celebration for the community and its residents to enjoy a family friendly weekend packed with fun! Located in Gardner, KS, the festival is also an opportunity to showcase the community to the rest of the Kansas City metro area. This year, the events are on June 9th and 10th. Festivities will kick off Friday night and continue through all day Saturday.
The festival has continued to grow in size and popularity each year. This year, they are expecting attendance of over 15,000 visitors! Between concerts, food, crafts, cars and more, there is plenty to keep you busy and entertained! Come hungry and leave happy.
This year, the festival has added an exciting event to its weekend festivities–their first ever Festival Color Run 5K! The race will take place on Saturday morning, June 10th. If you have never participated in a color run, you’re missing out! Wear white, and let the colors transform you during your run (or walk). The 5K will begin and end in the historic area of downtown Gardner. Every race participant will receive a race t-shirt and finishing medal! To participate, the entry fee is $25, which will increase to $30 on June 8th. Registration the day of will take place from 8 a.m. – 9 a.m., and the race will kick off at 10! This fun, family-themed event is a highly anticipated new addition to the festival, you don’t want to miss it! You can register for the color run here.
Nationally known artists are set to take the stage to fill the festival with their talented music. The Rainmakers and Head East will perform on the concert stage Friday night and Darryl Worley is headlining the festival stage Saturday night. Throughout his career, Darryl has produced nearly twenty hit singles, including three #1’s! The festival is excited to bring you such entertaining artists. We can’t wait for the concerts!
The festival is jam packed with activities all weekend long. They even offer a kids zone to keep your little ones entertained! There truly is something for everyone. The Color Run, concerts, car show, craft & vendor show, beer garden, and everything in between will give you a weekend you won’t forget!
