Would you rather buy a car from a man or a woman?

Man or Woman?

Man or Woman?

Tell me this …

Do you prefer buying from a woman or man? Same gender as you or not? Or, if it really doesn’t matter … tell me why.

This topic is very important to me … it’s basically the heart of my project. It’s about building a relationship with people; it’s about breaking down any barriers people face when at the dealership; and it’s about making car-buying fun and exciting!

According to “Road & Travel Magazine” 39% of women would rather deal with other women in the car showroom, whereas only 10% of men prefer to buy cars from other men … but do you agree?

When I was out around Kansas City, I asked women this same question. The majority of women didn’t prefer one way or the other. Just as long as the salesperson was honest and informative.

So, I really wanna know.

Here’s a thought for you — do you prefer a male or female when going to the doctor, or to your accountant, or perhaps your hairdresser? What’s so different about choosing a salesperson?

Tell me what you think!

I’ve never actually dealt with a female sales person in a dealership. So I really don’t have a base for comparison.

As far as preference goes, I really don’t care if its a male or female. As long as they know what they’re talking about when I’m asking questions about the vehicle.

In all honesty though, I don’t really see many female sales persons in car dealerships. But then again, I guess I haven’t really been in THAT many dealerships..

Thanks for sharing … You are right – there aren’t a lot of females working in the dealership … especially in the sales field.
We have approximately one per store (women sales associates) … some in finance, service , cashiers, office … but not a lot selling cars.

I think you’re right on the money – as long as a salesperson has product knowledge and a good personality – sex shouldn’t matter!
